Terms of Use
By installing or using Duck & Cache ("the app") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What the app is
The app lets you download maps, reference articles, guides and AI models once and use them without a connection. It is an information tool. It is not an emergency service.
Important safety notice
Maps, routes, articles, guides and AI answers can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Do not rely on the app as your only source in a situation where health, safety or life is at risk. Check important information against official sources and contact the emergency services where you can. You use the app at your own risk.
Free use and the one-time unlock
The app includes a limited number of free downloads. A one-time purchase ("unlock") removes that limit on the account used to buy it. It is a single payment, not a subscription. Payments are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store and are subject to their terms and refund rules; we cannot refund store purchases ourselves. Content you already downloaded keeps working offline whether or not you purchase.
Content from other sources
Downloadable content comes from open and third-party sources, including OpenStreetMap contributors, Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects, and open-licensed guides and models. Each remains under its own license (for example ODbL, CC BY-SA). Packs made by creators are provided by those creators; if you see something that should not be there, tell us and we will review it.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the app or our servers: no attempts to disrupt or overload them, to bypass the free-download limit by technical means, or to copy our paid services in bulk.
No warranty and limit of liability
The app and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app or its content.
Changes
We may update the app, the content catalog and these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
